Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District offers a curriculum for students in grades kindergarten through 12. It is located in Berne, N.Y., and comprises elementary, junior and high schools. It has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and offers a wide range of subjects, including science, mathematics, English, language arts, reading and writing skills, social studies, and health and physical education. In addition, it offers foreign language, fine arts and computer technology. The school district also provides advanced-placement, college-level courses and distance learning programs. It also has various clubs and organizations, such as musical theater troupe, video club, literary magazine, marching band, the high school senate and the National Honor Society.
