Town of Berlin, Vt., organized in 1791, offers a variety of business and residential options to its residents. The town consists of emergency management, public works, environmental conservation, fire, police, administration, and planning and zoning departments. Town of Berlin operates the Berlin Historical Society, which offers collection and cataloguing of newly donated materials, as well as developing databases of town records. The society offers information on Berlin families, cemeteries, schools, churches, births, deaths and marriages, as well as organizes data for all other Berlin-related subjects. Town of Berlin also includes the Berlin Sewer Commission, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipal sewer system within its area.
