• What is sugaring / sugar waxing?
  Sugar Epilation is a safe, gentle, and effective solution to hair removal. The biggest advantage is that the Alexandria technique and sugar paste removes the hair in its natural direction of growth and does so when the hair is still in the early growth stage. This eliminates breakage, unnecessary discomfort, irritation, and ingrown hairs; all the while exfoliating dry skin cells. Sugaring results in smooth, beautiful skin. Sugaring is performed at room temperature and is completely edible with simple ingredients of sugar, lemon and water.

• How long should my hair be before waxing?
  The general rule of thumb is a quarter of an an inch for waxing, and 7-10 days growth for sugaring. Everyone's hair grows differently. To most effectively remove the hair, it will take approximately 4 waxing/sugaring sessions to achieve the best results. You may see stubble (slow growing, soft and thin stubble) within a few days of your service because there is new hair growth occurring at all times. Removing the hair from the root in mass quantity will help most hair to grow in simultaneously. Waxing/sugaring monthly is absolutely a must to keep the follicles thin and easier to remove.

• Why should I choose you?
  Our lash techs are intensely trained by the owner Con, Con has an extensive and extremely meticulous training program for her lash techs. Con has worn lashes continuously for 6 years and has healthy strong natural lashes due to her very high standards and training of lash techs.

• What are Individual Eyelash Extensions (IEE)?
  Individual Eyelash Extensions are the placing of single silk lashes onto your own single true lash. Unlike buds or strips, IEE do not clump lashes into chunks of glue that rip out healthy lashes as the older lashes in the group grow out.

• Can I get IEE?
  In order to be a candidate for IEE, you must have lashes to put silk lashes on. If you have damage from wearing strips or buds please talk to a lash tech to explain how to nourish your lashes for future IEE. Alopecia is an inability to grow lashes at all, unfortunately we cannot apply IEE to a lid without lashes. If your lashes are genetically sparse we cannot grow them thicker but we can use specialized lashes that are light enough for your lashes to hold and look fuller.

• How long does it take to get a set or fill?
  An experienced lash tech will take approx 1.5 hours to apply a single set of lashes. There are single, half and double sets available. A half set consist of approx 40 lashes per eye. A single set is approx 80 per eye. A double is approx 120 per eye. A single fill will take approx 45 min from start to finish. Unfortunately there are techs out there that will apply IEE like buds, they can do a set in 15 min. When IEE are applies like a bud, it damaged lashes the same as buds. It is crucial to glue one silk lash to one natural lash.

• What does a fill consist of?
  A fill is what happens when half to 3/4 off your extensions shed with your natural lash still attached. Sometimes an extension with fall off without a lash attached, this is not as common as shedding attached to the lash.

• How often do I need a fill?
  Generally a fill should happen every 3-4 weeks. In rarer cases a half fill every 2 weeks is a better option if you have oily skin, sleep on your face at all, have allergies and rub your eyes or use oily skin care products. Book before you leave and ensure your next fill with your favorite tech as well as receive 10% off your fill.

• Can I get the same look as buds or strips?
  If you have thick and healthy lashes, a double set will achieve a "false lash" look. Most people want to fool the world with IEE and no not want the "false lash" look. If the IEE are desired for photo purposes, then a double set are most desired for wedding photos and such.

• Can I get the thickest IEE that are made?
  We use .15, .18 and rarely .20 diameter lashes. Anything that is .19 or thicker on a constant basis can destroy lashes over time. Your follicles are formed to hold natural light lashes, using very thick lashes can cause your follicle to become weak or droopy as well as cause follicles to slow down production of lash growth.

• Can I wear mascara?
  Waterproof mascara will remove your extensions. You can use our IEE safe mascara, however even IEE safe mascara daily can reduce wear time of IEE. Most people will use IEE safe mascara when lashes are near fill time.

• How do I care for IEE?
  Using the proper brushes that we give you are most important because hard mascara type brushes can slowly lift the base of the lash causing early fallout. Do not use oil near the lashes. Try not to sleep on your face (side sleepers should stop the pillow from smashing lashes). Use our con-caved sleep mask if you are a side sleeper. Use our sealer to prolong the life of the glue and gloss up your lashes. Using baby shampoo (sparingly) and water to clean lashes is a inexpensive solution to clean lashes. You can also use non-oil makeup remover, all appropriate solutions should be applied with the brushes we give you. Brush lashes with water and our brushes daily to "fan" out lashes and dry off lashes after shower.

• Is the glue safe?
  Yes, we use a medical grade cyanoacrylate based glue that is cured with a fine water mist at the end of the service. An allergic reaction is rare but has happened. When a reaction occurs, we will remove your lashes for you using grape seed oil and/or IEE remover. We cannot refund your money from applying the IEE set. Our lash techs do get paid for their work and time spent and have no way of knowing or can guarantee that you are not one of the rare cases that react to the glue. You can come in for a free sample set of 3-4 lashes on each eye to see if you react to the glue.

• How can I prepare for the IEE?
  Please arrive without makeup, avoid caffeine a few hours prior to appointment, remove contacts and try to keep as still as possible during appointment.

• What can I do to thicken my lashes before my appointment?
  We sell an organic topical lash vitamin that works very well for most people. Biotin is also an excellent vitamin that works the best. Because Biotin is a oral supplement please use your judgment and talk to your doctor for any questions you have about oral supplements.

• What if I am running late for my appointment?
  It happens to all of us once in a while. Please call and let us know that you are running late if possible. Arriving late will cut down your appointment time If you are 15 minutes late, you may only be able to get a half fill. 20 minute or more late can result in cancellation of appointment. Repeat late arrivals may result in denial of re-booking appointments. Due to our expert lash techs, we book up quickly.

Airbrush Tanning

  For this base tan, you can come in and receive your tan in one 20-30 minute visit. Both coats are applied one right after another. You can achieve the same color in the SDBB tan as the 2 in 72, but it doesn't last as long. The same day tan lasts about 7 days. Everyone is different when it comes to airbrush tanning. A tan can last almost 2 weeks on some people, but on those who work out, swim, or sweat a lot the tan loses color much more quickly.

Tan - Info

• What can I wear during my appointment?
  We ask that you remove all jewelry, ask for nasal plugs, and to protect your hair we will provide a hair guard. Women: Most women choose to tan topless and opt to wear a thong, bathing suit bottom, or panty with which they are comfortable with where the tan line would be. You are welcome to wear a bra, one piece bathing suit or any other undergarment while tanning as long as you realize, just as if you were tanning in the sun, where ever you are wearing clothing you will have tan lines. Women do have the option of tanning fully nude if tan lines are going to be problematic. Men: Men are required to wear some fashion of underwear. Whether that is boxers, a speedo, or briefs is up to him. Swimming trunks are fine, but not recommended as it will leave a significant portion of your legs untanned.

• How does an airbrush tan work?
  DHA is an acronym for dihydroxyacetone. It is a clear 3-carbon sugar that reacts when applied to the skin. A chemical reaction with amino acids in the surface cells of the skin producing a tan-like effect. Most people want instant color, therefore an mineral bronzer is added to the formula to achieve an instant tan. Throughout the next 8 hours your DHA Tan will develop, making the outermost instant bronzer appear really dark. When you shower, you will see the bronzer wash down the drain and your DHA tan will look natural and beautiful.

• What tips can you give me for the perfect DHA Tan?
  The ideal tan preparation for airbrush tan would be to shower, shave and exfoliate. Hydration is crucial, and drinking lots of water and moisturizing daily will help your tan application looks its best. Remember to come to your appointment without any products at all on your body. Lotions, deodorant, and makeup will block the DHA from reacting to your skin. Be sure to wear loose clothing because tight clothes rub the fresh DHA off.

• How long will my airbrush tan last?
  The length of your tan depends on several variables. The first being which base tan you choose. Excessive sweating, exfoliating, shaving, swimming, and dehydration will fade the color more quickly. Things that can help the tan stay fresh are: daily moisturizing, staying hydrated, and washing with light washcloths instead of anything harsh or abrasive, patting dry after a shower.

• How do I choose my color?
  The best possible scenario is to schedule a 72 hour tan. You will be airbrushed with a light to medium color application and then go home and shower. You will then be airbrushed with the second application within 72 hours of the first application. On the second appointment you and your technician will discuss going darker or staying the same. In all cases, it is important to get the second application because with out the #2 you will lose color quickly (days).

• Booking your appointment
  We recommend you come in for your Fantasy Tan one to two days before your event. We HIGHLY discourage booking your appointment the same day as your event. You will also want to make sure that any waxing, manicure or pedicure appointments are at least 24 hours before your tan. If you are looking for a weekend or evening appointment please book up to a week in advance.

• Day of your appointment
  Skin prep - We ask that the day of your appointment you shave and exfoliate really well in the shower paying special attention to your hands, feet, elbow, knees and shins. AVOID MOISTURIZERS AND LOTIONS THE DAY OF YOUR TAN. If it is possible to avoid make-up and deodorant that is preferable. If it is not possible, that's okay, just please let us know when you come in that you have it on. DO NOT SHAVE WITH CONDITIONER!

• After your tan appointment
  Ideally, you will be able to leave wearing dark loose clothing and no bra. If you are unable to avoid wearing a bra immediately after your appointment, that is okay, just not preferable. Any type of jeans or tight legging are also not preferable after your appointment. You will also need to avoid sweating or showering for the first 8 to 10 hours after your tan so the solution has ample time to develop into a beautiful tan.

• Tanning aftercare
  You can expect varying results based on which tan you opted for. Our Same Day Back to Back tan can be expected to last 5-7 days. Our Regular Base Two Day Tan can be expected to last 7-10 days. To help your color last as long as possible we recommend daily moisturizing, exfoliating and shaving only when necessary, patting dry instead of rubbing dry after showers and avoiding excess perspiration.

• Is moisturizer important?
  YES! Moisturizer is very important in tan maintenance.
