      The Coder School is a year-round after-school coding school for kids ages 8-18. We combine collaboration and immersion with direct instruction by our Code Coaches™ to get your kids learning to code and rockin' their inner hacker in no time! Our mission is to inspire and excite kids to not only learn to code, but think critically about how technology can change our lives in the future. At The Coder School, we want aspiring coders to use their new found passion as a stepping stone to thinking outside the box, as a way to channel their ideas in a creative way and most importantly, to have fun.

      The most in-depth way to learn to code is Code Coaching™. With two students to one instructor, our Code Coaches™ are able to teach in a project-oriented, but customized, way. At the same time, two kids of a similar level and age play off each other and show off to each other for a more social experience. Code Coaching™ is a perfect way to learn to code with a friend, or to come in and meet someone new! Code Coaching™ is a one hour weekly session. App Team is core to how we teach, and involves project-oriented learning that results in an App Demo every few months in a presentation format. Students use a one-hour Code Coach™ session to learn their technical skills and create cool projects, and a separate and more social one-hour App Team session to hone their App Demo presentation. Every few months, students showcase their apps in a Coder Fair, presenting their creation to an excited audience. There's no better way to learn than having to present what you've coded! Our awesome camps take goodies from our year round sessions and put em into a solid week of coding fun. Kids come to code in a collaborative way, share their cool ideas with each other, and learn to work together towards a common goal. By the end of the week, each camper will have a functioning app/game that they built from scratch and can show off to each other, and to parents too!
