Body Therapist and Teacher: Helping people release stress/pain and heal/befriend their bodies.
- Business History
- Sara Sunstein, MA, was drawn to bodywork nearly 40 years ago as a path for self-discovery and self-connection. In 1981 when a bad dance injury led her to Ortho-Bionomy®), she found her professional path and was fortunate to train with Arthur L Pauls, DO, the founder of Ortho-Bionomy® and other somatic pioneers including Peter Levine, PhD, and Don Hanlon Johnson. Sara admits, however, that her clients are some of her best teachers. Every session she learns something new. Sara is very grateful for such a livelihood that supports people feeling better and appreciating their bodies more. An Advanced Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy®, she also teaches Self-Care classes and trains people (from a range of backgrounds, not just those in healing professions) in Ortho-Bionomy®.

General Info
Specializing in helping people (like you) feel freer and happier in their bodies. If you're suffering from stress, stiffness, acute or chronic pain/discomfort, impact injury or trauma, or simply want to become more comfortable in your own skin, Sara Sunstein, MA can help. With over 30 years experience, as well as teaching, she is highly skilled with pain relief and its resolution, impact injuries, female concerns including pregnancy, trauma, stress, chronic and acute conditions (like sciatica, carpal tunnel, whiplash, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, head-forward and other postural issues), and the interplay of emotions, mind, and spirit with body tensions and other symptoms. The work is both respectful and gentle and, therefore, able to go deep, yielding profound and lasting results, shifting the story from pain relief or management to genuine pain release. Sessions often include self-care lessons to further healing and integration. Safe for sensitive or frail people; effective for big muscular types too. All work is fully clothed. Modalities: Ortho-Bionomy®, cranial, myofascial, neuro-lymphatic, somatic therapy, guided visualization.
