Publishers Group West is one of the largest exclusive distributors of independent publishers in North America. One of the top 10 vendors of books in the country, the company represents more than 150 independent publishers. While some publish over 60 titles a year, others publish only a few. They are located in all regions of the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Publishers Group West distributes publishers that specialize in fiction, art, travel, health, children's books, African-American studies, business, drama, self-help, woodworking and homebuilding, music, and other nonfiction in nearly every subject category. Established in 1976, Publishers Group West is headquartered in Berkeley, Calif., with a national sales office in New York City, and a distribution center located in Indianapolis.
