Founded in 1980, Powis-Parker Company serves the bind-on-demand market through its network of 200 dealers in 60 countries. Its domestically manufactured product line includes the Fastback Model 15xs and other desktop binders, foil printers, spine printers, scoring machine and binding supplies. The Fastback system is a compact, desktop binder that professionally binds documents from 3 to 350 sheets thick. The system uses durable binding strips that are coated with a thermoplastic adhesive. The company holds more than 10 patents for binding-related technologies and innovations. Headquartered in Berkeley, Calif., Powis-Parker employs approximately 100 people.
