Parks Maintenance is a division of the Berkeley Parks Recreation and Waterfront Department, which is governed by the City of Berkeley in California. The division is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the city s parks and grounds. The Berkeley Parks Recreation and Waterfront Department also oversees the city s waterfront and urban forest areas. The department maintains more than 50 parks, 35 undeveloped paths, and 40 parking and vacant lots, as well as the Berkeley Marina. It administers a program for the improvement of appearance and water circulation and quality of the city s aquatic park. The Berkeley Parks Recreation and Waterfront Department operates an adventure playground and family campground.
