Located in Berkeley, Calif., Hesperian Foundation is a nonprofit publisher of books and newsletters for community-based health care. The company s books and newsletters address the underlying social, political and economic causes of poor health and suggest ways that can be implemented to improve health conditions in communities. It is currently working on gratis, creative education and translations funds, along with other projects. The company s books are shipped all over the world in boxes made from recycled and recyclable cardboard. Hesperian Foundation is in partnership with Bangladesh Center for Worker Solidarity.
