General Info
A graduate of the Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy in Laguna Hills, CA, Adrienne Saltzberg received a 1,000 hour state accredited certification as a Neuromuscular, Sports & Therapeutic Massage Therapist with further studies in sports medicine and myofascial dysfunction. Adrienne began practicing bodywork in 1996. She offers a wide range of modalities with much focus on prevention and treatment of sport injuries, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, event sports massage (pre-event and post-event), stretching techniques, and orthopedic massage. During and prior to her massage training, Adrienne worked as a competitive swim coach for high schools and conditioning teams and also taught swim lessons to adults, children, and babies. Spending her days on the pool deck and nights at massage school, Adrienne had the luxury of applying her newly acquired techniques to injured athletes as well as preventing her swimmers from injury with proper stretching regimes. Her time as a coach was invaluable experience for the years to come. Adrienne takes great pride in getting her athletes back on the court, field, or wherever their sport might take them. “My goal is to get you back in the game” says Adrienne. Alongside her great appreciation for bodywork, Adrienne had another interest, herbal medicine. She went on to attain a Clinical Herbalist Certification from the Natural Healing Institute in Encinitas, CA. There have been many settings in which Adrienne has practiced massage and bodywork such as chiropractic offices, day spas, executive gyms, massage clinics, but her favorite was with an eccentric naturopathic physician. Her experience with the naturopath was most inspiring. He had such enthusiasm. He was more than happy to share knowledge, and did so daily. Adrienne later opened her own practice in the city of Encinitas, CA where she treated her patients for years to come. Some of the common problems she worked on with her clients were headaches, muscle tension, carpal tunnel, tendonitis, whiplash, plantar fasciitis, sciatica, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, nerve impingements, thoracic outlet syndrome, various sports injuries, TMJ, and fibromyalgia. After numerous years in Encinitas, CA, Adrienne sold her business, moved to the Bay Area, became a mother, and is now building a new practice in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area.
