The Berea Parks and Recreation Department maintains a range of facilities that include parks, a swimming pool and folk center. Its parks offer various features that include walking trails, picnic shelters, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, basketball and sand volleyball courts, and baseball, softball and soccer fields. The department s swimming pool covers more than 9,000 square feet of area and offers various amenities, such as a waterslide, diving well, lap lanes, wading pool, raindrop, bathhouse and a concession area. Its folk center offers more than 3000 square feet of open space for hosting various events, such as craft shows, weddings, receptions, dances and reunions. The department maintains its office in Berea, Ky.
