Sean Dorado, PA-C, is a physician assistant who has been seeing patients in Benson for more than 15 years. He is particularly interested in helping patients manage chronic illnesses such as diabetes. “I enjoy the partnership/relationship that I build with my patients while helping them manage their health,” he said. Dorado has always wanted to serve his community and benefit society in a small town, a place where everyone knows your name. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, he was a respiratory therapist and worked in intensive care at the Tucson Heart Hospital. While his time there was rewarding, Dorado wanted to work with patients in primary care to help them avoid hospitalization, especially critical care in the ICU. With the goal of providing primary care to patients, Dorado enrolled at Midwestern University where he graduated as a physician assistant to start his career in primary care. He wants all his patients to know that “they are in possession of the greatest achievement ever created, the human body, and they should do everything they can to preserve and care for it.”
