General Info

Don Mackprang started his business after having been previously employed as a Home Designer and Consultant for various construction companies. Mackprang Design moved from the Portland area to Sunriver in 1982, where Don became one of the leading designers in the area. In 1984, he moved his business to Bend and has been involved in designing custom homes in many of the most outstanding resorts and communities in the region, including Aubrey Butte, Broken Top, Caldera Springs, Crosswater, Eagle Crest, Aspen Lakes and Tetherow. Since then his homes have been featured in national magazines and various regional publications. Don Mackprang’s designs have also been prominent in many Tour of Homes projects in Sunriver and the Bend area. This includes the 2011 Tour of Homes, from which his Home Design won seven of eight awards, including “Best Design” and “Best of Show.” Don’s designs have also graced premium developments throughout the Western U.S. region, including California, Washington, Maui and Alaska. Don has always maintained a high degree of professionalism and been acclaimed for his unique style among his peers. He has always strived to bring to clients a distinct quality, reflecting the vision and experience of a Master Craftsman and Artist.
