Bend-La Pine Schools was founded in 1883 and is located in Bend, Ore. The district s schools offer classes from grades kindergarten through 12 and enroll more than 1,200 students every year. The district offers various sports program that include baseball, basketball, football, wrestling, hockey, volleyball and track. Bend-La Pine Schools governs five middle schools, six high schools and more than 15 elementary schools. The district has an academic program that focuses on the development of reading, language arts and math skills in elementary grades. It supports these basic skills with the teaching of social studies and science. The district s schools also provide instruction in computer, arts, music, library science, and health and physical education in higher grades.
