Dr. Balcer enjoys the variety that practicing optometry brings, from pediatrics to contact lenses to treating ocular disease.   Dr. Dimmig has worked with the Himalayan Cataract Project in  Ethiopia since 2012. The Himalayan Cataract Project funds education of ophthalmic surgeons in Asia and Africa via skills transfer outreach programs.
• Cataract Surgery
  Dr. Dimmig specializes in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He is performing premium intraocular lens surgery with the latest technologies that can limit need for glasses after cataract surgery. He has 20 years of experience with glaucoma surgeries, including trabeculectomy and glaucoma drainage devices. He also performs MIGS (microinvasive glaucoma surgery) regularly with his cataract surgeries to help lower intraocular pressure including the iStent.
