- CrownsMuch of our practice today involves treating adults. The perception of orthodontics being ‘just for kids’ has not been true for the past forty or more years. People who should have been treated as children, and for different reasons were not, make up the majority of our adult patients. Others who have had treatment as a child but have experienced some movement through the years make up another large segment of our patients. Many of these patients can be treated quickly and the correction not only allows them to enjoy their smile again, but prevents further deterioration. The remaining group of adults frequently involve treatment before crown or bridge/implant procedures or to stabilize a dysfunctional TMJ.

- DenturesYour own natural teeth are viewed to last your entire lifetime today. Gone are the days of dentures at age 40 or 50. Your teeth need to look good and function properly. Straight teeth ensure healthy periodontal and TMJ support.

- OrthodonticsAt Orthodontic Specialties, Dr. Murphy believes that everyone can have a beautiful smile. Enhancing your smile and developing beauty in the face is what orthodontics and facial orthopedics is all about. Nothing brightens up a room and breeds confidence in a person more than a wonderful smile. Being self-conscious about a poor smile and crooked teeth can be very distracting and cause feelings of inadequacy. Orthodontics can help build a positive self-image.
- Invisalign OrthodonticsEarly treatment (ages 4 to 9) is an effective way to address crowding, crossbite, severe overbites and overjet, close an open bite and help break oral habits. Many children that are treated at this early age eliminate the need for full treatment as a teen or lessen the problems to short, detail-oriented treatment. This can save money in the long run. Invisalign or other alignment retainers can sometimes be used as a teen to detail minor residual problems.
- BracesBraces on teeth will accumulate more food and plaque than without. Proper home hygiene will ensure you do not get staining or cavities on your teeth that are expected to last a lifetime.
