  My medical practice comprises the whole span of patient ages, from newborns and children, young people, adults, and the elderly. I see most patients in my office, but maintain active hospital and nursing home practices as well. Special areas of interest to me in the field of medicine include internal medicine, pediatrics, and gynecology.  I am especially interested in the treatment of asthma, hypertension, elevated cholesterol levels, and diabetes mellitus.

  Welcome! Clayton R. Malaker, MD, located in Belvidere, IL, provides a full range of family practice medical services for residents of Boone County and surrounding communties. As a family doctor, I treat a wide array of health care problems in patients of all ages, and have special training in the areas that make family medicine unique. This includes traditional medical treatments, but also includes a special emphasis on how an individual's health is affected by dynamic interactions within larger groups, especially within the settings of one's family and community.
