I was excited to check out a new, clean nail place with my friends so I called and made an appointment for six of us. I made sure to ask if 6PM was too late, as I wanted to be respectful of their closing time (7PM). I knew six pedicures and two gel manicures would take awhile. The receptionist said it was fine. Most of the party arrived early or on time. I was 9 minutes late and one friend came a few minutes after me. The first thing that went wrong was the owner overflowed one of the tubs. Water went everywhere yet he continued to work on her feet. I thought it was kind of a hazard to have all that water around. He did clean it up later at least. The next issue was with the owner again. My friend who he was working on was chatting with another friend and she made a movement while he was working. He got really upset and rudely told her to stop moving if she wanted a trench menicure:! I can understand being frustrated by someone moving while you're trying to do your job but at least be polite in the way you speak: I felt at that point like he didn't even want our business! When my feet were done, I said I was ready for my manicure and they said; "Oh no; it's too late. We can't." I specifically called and made the appointment for both a manicure and pedicure for a reason! If they would have told me no on the phone, that's one thing. I would have went someone else. But no, they said it was fine so here I am, away from my baby (which is a big deal for me. I can only be gone short periods of time) and now I can't get a manicure. They were so unprofessional about how they treated us! My toes were the last ones drying under the dryer while most the staff stood around frowning and tapping their feet as to tell me to hurry up. One girl got so impatient she started mopping the floor. They gave me the thin flip flops to wear. As I start walking I almost slipped three times because of the wet floor! Then we get to counter and the owner once again with a frown and rude tone says, "Just so you know, next time you will need to bring in the paper coupon." We all saw the ad in the paper and just brought in a screen shot. I was so annoyed at that point and had tears in my eyes! I said, "You know, for a new business you would think you would be a little more easy going and kind." He didn't take that well. He was very defensive and not apologetic at all! He kept repeating over and over, "We do our best." My friend said, "Well try harder." I don't think this business will last long if this is how they treat people! At least the girl who did my nails was sweet: I don't blame her one bit. After all was said and done, i ended up getting the best manicure at Beauty Nails in the mall!!! Please don't waste your money at Diamond Nails.
