  Dr. Kaner was born in San Diego, CA but has lived on the Eastside since 1963. He went to school at the University of Washington and has been practicing Internal Medicine in Bellevue since 1987. He believes that healing and maintaining good health is based on a strong partnership between the physician and patient. “One of our most important roles is to communicate with people and educate them both about the myriad of choices they face in trying to manage disease, achieve and maintain good health.   Dr Pacifico was born in Newark, NJ, and grew up in Birmingham, AL. He attended Duke University for both his undergraduate degree and medical degree. He came to the Pacific Northwest for internal medicine residency and was on staff at the University of Washington for a year before embarking on an infectious disease fellowship. His varied career has included caring for those with acute illness in emergency room, urgent care, and hospital settings and for those with chronic diseases in outpatient settings. He and Dr. Mills know one another after working together at Providence in Everett from 2007 to 2010. He is no stranger to the difficulty of being a patient, having repeatedly undergone multiple orthopedic surgeries following sports injuries.
