The Engineering Department of the city of Bellevue, Ohio, operates under the supervision of city engineer. The department is responsible for the development and implementation of city's capital improvement program that expends approximately $750,000 for public improvements annually. It also reviews building site and subdivision plans and works with the Ohio Department of Transportation on highway and bridge improvements. The Engineering Department also works with the city departments on water, sewer, drainage and street development. The city of Bellevue also operates cemetery, fire, police and recreation departments. Its other departments feature street, taxation, utility billing and water filtration and pollution control.
