Founded in 1977, the Waldo County YMCA owns and operates a fitness area, indoor walk track, community room and multipurpose gymnasium. It provides wellness programs for people of all ages and abilities. The organization also offers child care programs for children in kindergarten through grade five. The Waldo County YMCA hosts luncheons for senior citizens and organizes summer camps for youths. The organization additionally offers basketball, hockey, volleyball and indoor soccer classes. It also provides cycling and swimming classes and promotes the physical, mental, social and spiritual development of children and families. The Waldo County YMCA is located in Belfast, Maine.
