Liberty High School, located in Bedford, Va., is affiliated with Bedford County Public Schools. It was founded in 1964 with the consolidated of several schools in the area, and serves students from Villamont, Montvale, Thaxton, Blue Ridge and Big Island in Virginia. The school is fully approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Education. Liberty High School offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to more than 1,000 students in grades nine through 12. The school offers various programs, such as English, arts, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. It has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development by enhancing communication between home and school.
