I order cheese pizza from them every other week. It is so good, I don't even like Pizza Hut anymore.
My husband and I decided to try Cafe Sicilia because a friend recommended it. The Chef must have had a bad night because the delivered dinner my husband and I ordered was horrible. We ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms, they tasted okay but where's the crab? Much to our disappointment we couldn't eat the entrees. Both meals left a lot to be desired. The meat (veal?) was so thin (about 1/32th of an inch or less between the bland breading) I couldn't even taste it so I tried to remove the breading with no success. The pasta was cooked to the consistency of mush, reminded me of Chef Boyardee from a can. I would stop here but there was one mystery we couldn't quite figure out and that is why the cannoli filling was grainy. If there had been chopped nuts or cinnamon in the filling that might explain it but there was only whole chocolate chips. Needless to say we feel that our $40 + tip was an expensive lesson and we'll go to a new restaurant and dine before ordering delivery.
great food, especially the veal calzone (no bread involved with this one!). i've had many things from here and never been disappointed. Also appreciate the free delivery, which isn't usually an option for great food like this.
I only discovered this litte gem by accident when I lived in Bedford and I wanted some Italian but didn't want to drive far. It happens to be the best little hole in the wall restaurant around. Food is great and more than just your typical lasagne, etc. Bread is wonderful and homemade. Now that I've moved to Irving, I still return to Cafe' Sicilia when I want Italian.-Sue R
