Located in Beckley, W.Va., Rural Acres is a health center that offers primary health care services. It provides services, such as internal medicine, family practice and pediatrics. The center also operates a full-service clinical laboratory. Rural Acres is owned and operated by AccessHealth, which is a federally qualified health care center and nonprofit organization that was established in 1967 as a community health system and a demonstration health care project. AccessHealth also focuses on the treatment of women during pregnancy, labor, and before and after childbirth, as well as health care services for the diagnosis and treatment of disorders. It additionally provides treatment for acute and chronic illnesses, as well as conducts child examinations, immunizations and pap smears.
