  The Lewis Law Firm currently consists of two attorneys and their support staff. The firm's practice encompasses many areas of law; however, a large portion of the practice is dedicated to insurance company representation, with emphasis on fraudulent or suspected fraudulent first party claims and arson cases. The attorneys are routinely called upon to direct the investigation of suspected fraudulent first party claims and to defend against alleged breaches by insurors of the duty of good faith and fair dealing, including suits brought under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and Article 21.21 of the Texas Insurance Code. Mr. Lewis has tried many arson and fraud cases with results favoring his insurance company clients.

  Additionally, people with larger estates can gain substantial tax advantages by using a properly drawn up will and trust. Special trusts can be used to avoid taxes on estates over $5,000,000.00. Currently, estates over $5,000,000.00 are taxed at a rate of 35%.
