He received his clinical training at world renowned academic institutes. He finished his residency training in Psychiatry at the University of Chicago Hospitals and his fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry at the Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinics in Pittsburgh. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago. Dr. Qayyumtakes a holistic approach in treating his patients. He believes in comprehensive clinical care, which encompasses a person’s medical, psychiatric, nutritional, social and spiritual domains. He has extensive clinical experience in various fields of psychiatry including: Adult Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Consultation & Liaison Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry and Occupational Psychiatry. He is certified to perform Outpatient Narcotics Detoxification and Maintenance Treatment by using Buprenorphine.
