The Lee County Board of Education accepts various applications and nominations for the position of superintendent of the Lee County Schools. The board also approves the facilities and technology committee s recommendation for several middle schools. Lee County Schools operates various elementary, medium and high schools that enroll students in kindergarten through grade 12. It offers a range of programs, including professional development and Indian education. The county serves more than 7,000 students in over 10 locations. Its schools also provide nursing care, as well as health services to various students. The county features a transportation department that includes nearly 100 bus drivers.
