Established in 1843, the Lee Adjustment Center is a correctional facility that houses more than 800 male offenders. The center serves the Kentucky Department of Corrections. It is accredited by American Correctional Association (ACA). The Lee Adjustment Center offers criminal conduct and substance abuse treatment services. It develops strategies for the self-improvement and change of offenders. The center provides vocational training programs in the areas of masonry, horticulture, culinary arts and building trades. The Lee Adjustment Center maintains an addiction treatment unit. In addition, it offers literacy and adult basic education programs. The Lee Adjustment Center hosts training sessions to enhance anger management and parenting skills. The center is a part of Corrections Corporation of America, which houses more than 75,000 offenders and detainees in over 60 facilities.
