Established in 1902, Beasley Elementary School offers a range of academic classes and extracurricular options to students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. Its curriculum includes reading, writing, math, art, computer applications, physical education, fine arts, science and English. It administers English as a Second Language, accelerated reader, Title I, and gifted and talented education programs. The school also maintains a library and media center that stocks books and periodicals and provides links to search engines. Located in Beasley, Texas, it operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts several fundraising events and programs. In addition, Beasley Elementary School is a part of the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District, which was founded in 1947 and serves more than 20,500 students.
