Dr. Paul Latonero, MD, FAAP started Orange Pediatric Care back around 1976 and has been serving the Orange County and surrounding communities since then. Dr. Maria Bernardez bought the practice in 2010 and has carried on the tradition of Orange Pediatric Care, caring for children and families with quality and compassion. We have families who have been with us for several generations. That is, we now see the children of the children that Dr. L originally saw!
- Primary CareWhen you do, please make sure that you still list us as your primary care physician. Once the new insurance becomes effective, confirm that the insurance company has listed us as the primary care physician (often even if you requested us, their system will default to other doctors).
- Flu ShotsFlu shots or mist will not give you the Flu, they will activate your immune system and you may or may not feel a little down for a day but you will be protected from much worse. Last year in the US alone 80,000 people died from the Flu. It is Not just a common cold, it can be very deadly which is why Dr. Bernardez and Orange Pediatric Care in New Windsor really recommends getting the vaccine. Last year the Flu was very bad and there was a shortage of vaccines, So take advantage of it now while we still have enough.
- ImmunizationsWe want all of our patients and their families to be safe during this time. However, we also recognize that normal health care such as timely vaccination, physicals, and check ups are still important.
- Behavioral HealthBrings a friendly, youthful vitality to "her kids" and has a delightful "bedside manner". Her training and experience include child psychology and behavioral health issues. She is always willing to explain the pros and cons of any procedure or medication, and to take the time to answer any questions you may have.
- Sports MedicineSummer and School Physicals time is one of our most busiest times of year. This Fall as the school and sports physicals wind down at Orange Pediatric Care I hope to start refurbishing our exam rooms and office. It has been a few years since they were repainted and even a few more on some.
