I was unhappy with the techs at our previous vet and so tried Hudson Highlands. The tech came into the room after we weighed my overweight dog and proceeded to talk to me like I am an idiot. She did not introduce herself and was obnoxious. Can't say the vet had much of a personality either. My dog has chronic Lymes and was sluggish. We walked out with medication for that. They would not make an appointment for his vaccinations for after his treatment period; expecting me to call back I assume. Just as well. It cost well over $450 for that and the $200+ lab work. I got pill pockets there: even more expensive than over-priced PETCO. I will keep looking.

As a pet owner for several years and trying Veterinary groups on both sides of the river, I finally found a group that is both professional and compassionate. This is the first group that listened to my concerns and addressed the problem I was having with my pet. They didn't push additional services to pad the bill or rush my visit so they could take the next patient. My pet has fully recovered from his illness thanks to Dr. Whitefield. I highly recommend this group.

If you are looking for a vet I highly suggest you go to Hudson Highlands vet they have 2 offices one is a small office in Beacon although the office building is old the staff there are very warm and inviting you are not just another client but they know you and your pet. the doctors are top notch, If you have an emergency or want a larger newer place take your pet for an exam they have that too. I have had to use both offices at different time and I must say it was nice knowing that in an emergency my dog was seeing someone who knew her and her history.

This place is going really down hill. The staff is unprofessional and down right rude at times. The Vet Techs just have no understanding of procedures and it comes thru and can also be rude and angry. The vet turn over is just incredible. The vets come and go. That is so upsetting for a pet owner. The first impression of this place is wonderful...the rest is all down hill from there.

Hudson Highlands is a top-notch vet group!!! We highly recommend them to anyone with a pet. The staff are incredicbly friendly and understanding, the techs generally easy to work with and the vets are all phenomenal! We visit the office in East Fishkill and are thoroughly pleased each time we go there with one of our animals. Their rates are reasonable, but costs in general can get expensive -- but the lives of our furry family members are worth it. This is the premiere place for pet care -- surgery, grooming, hydro-therapy, routine check-ups -- this is the place to go.
