Founded in 1966, Ross S. Sterling High School is a part of the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District. It conducts classes in English, science, math, cosmetology and social studies. The school supports a range of athletic activities, including cross country, soccer, basketball, swimming, football, baseball, and track and field. Ross S. Sterling High School provides special education for children with special needs. It also offers programs in Spanish, art, music, foreign languages and physical education. The school provides the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. Ross S. Sterling High School employs a team of counselors that provide guidance counseling.
