Harlem Elementary School provides a range of educational opportunities for the academic, social, emotional and behavioral development of students. It enrolls more than 800 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as reading, art, music, physical education, math, social studies and science. It offers a preschool program for children with disabilities. The school also provides gifted and talented education, Title I and behavior improvement programs. Its special education programs serve students with special needs. Harlem Elementary School offers accelerated reader, tutoring and reading recovery programs. Its parent-teacher association encourages parental and public involvement in school activities.
