Plasmine Technology, Inc was founded in 1990 with a single business objective, to provide the best sizing products and technical support to the paper industry. Plasmine is a wholly owned subsidiary of Harima Chemicals of Osaka, Japan and one of four major suppliers of rosin-based internal sizing additives to the North American Paper Industry. The corporate office is located in Pensacola, Florida there are two manufacturing plants in the United States located in Bay Minette, Alabama and Portland Maine. Two distribution networks have been established in the Oregon/Washington and Wisconsin areas. Plasmine Technology, Inc produces and sells high quality rosin internal sizing agents and various surface treatment additives for the paper and paperboard industries. The core business Plasmine Technology is the manufacture of rosin based internal sizing additives for the paper industry. Plasmine has the most diverse portfolio of rosin based sizing additives of all rosin sizing supplier in North America to meet a wide range of wet end operating conditions and paper sizing requirements. Plasmine's commitment to quality is reflected in the product stability of all of our rosin based sizing emulsions. Plasmine has expanded its internal sizing portfolio to include new specialized rosin based sizing emulsions capable of sizing at near neutral (6.5 to 7.0) pH conditions and Alkyl Ketene Dimer (AKD) cellulose reactive sizes. Plasmine's has diversified its product offerings to include a wide assortment of chemical additives for the tissue and towel segment of the paper industry. Plasmine has been selected as the exclusive distributor of Process Applications Limited (PAL) Yankee dryer protection technology for North America. Plasmine has three sales representatives with over 20 years of experience selling into the tissue and towel industry. We are confident we can meet your tissue and towel needs. Plasmine's has the manufacturing capabilities to toll manufacture specialized rosin dispersions for specialty applications outside the paper industry. Our innovative Research and development and dedicated manufacturing teams are available to develop new products to meet customer needs.
