A gynecologist is devoted to the reproductive care of women from the time she gets her first period to post-menopause. They handle all women’s health concerns including routine well woman care and Pap smears, breast problems, uterine or vaginal infections, cancer of the reproductive organs, fertility problems, contraception, and more. They also perform surgical procedures such as tubal ligations and hysterectomies. Some procedures, such as hysterectomies, utilize the state-of-the-art da Vinci Xi surgical system.
