I really great place to eat. Either this one of the one on columbia. Both are one of my favorite places in Battle Creek.

We have given this restaurant several chances. I will not be wasting my money again. This particular time my husband and I were out for an early dinner on our anniversary because we had plans later on. We arrived at 4:30 and thought we would have drinks and an appetizer before the 5:00 AYCE crab legs that my husband wanted. We ordered our appetizer. The waitress returned to take our order about 10 minutes later and I asked her if she had placed the order for the appetizer. She said she forgot. We decided not to order it at that point. My husband got the AYCE crab and she brought the wrong side dish. We had to ask for condiments, crab crackers, etc. She was very friendly, but we had a couple of basic questions that she couldn't answer. That's not a big deal as she did go and get the answer for us. The manager came by after the fact and said that she was brand new and made a quick apology. That would have been nice to know in the beginning. But after all the mistakes, we get the bill and we see that the AYCE crab was $29.99 PLUS a gratuity already included for a total of $70. I was livid as I am a VERY good tipper, but I resent being forced to tip, especially when the service was poor. I told the manager and she simply said it's standard on the AYCE crab for the gratuity to be included and she told us that the price was written on the board as you come in. We came in at 4:30 and it was NOT written on the board until we had already been there for a half an hour. The food was mediocre at best. The service has ALWAYS been bad even if the waitress is not new and honestly, we have never had a friendly server. With the exception of last nights server.

My husband and I had our first date at moonrakers 14 years ago. Today we went back to reminisce and have a nice meal. What a mistake! We live some miles away and this was our first opportunity. When we first walked in we noticed all the changes that were made, and was pleased that they had made some improvements. When we ordered our food our server was very pleasant. When out food came my husbands burger was cut in 4 quarters. He did not care for this and when our server asked if everything was ok my husband suggested that they should put on the menu that the sandwich would be cut in pieces. The server said that she has never had any complaints before and asked if he would like something else. My husband said no the sandwich was fine but they should let people know how the food was served. Not long after that she came back and told us she talked to the owner and he said they have always served them that way. This is after we said it was fine. It was like she took it personally. Then after a while I over heard her talking about us to the bartender. I was like ok no tip for her but continued my meal. A little later another server came in and she was talking about us to her. By then no one at the bar was talking any longer and we became very uncomfortable. I told my husband to just get the check and lets go, but our server was nowhere to be seen. After a bit she came out and we had to ask for our check at the bar. We paid what we were charged and walked out the door. Before we could get in our truck our server named Ashley came out yelling asking us what she did wrong and why we didn’t give her a tip. She continued telling us how much she made and she relied on tips as part of her income. My husband just shut the door not knowing what she would do next. I am 45 years old and have never seen anything like this. I understand most servers rely on tips. BUT YOU HAVE TO TREAT COSTMERS WITH RESPECT TO GET ONE. I have never not left a tip before but have never been treated that way before. This one server ruined a very special memory for us and sadly we will not be returning

West-old Hunt Club TERRIBLE service on Tuesday! Watied for food over 35 mints. and waitress was the worst ever. Mgt/Owner was notified and I was told "too bad service sucked, just don't tip her but pay full price for the meal". Well tooooo bad we will never be back and I may know a few people to tell :)

Worst service food was cold.... Dingy bar/restaurant.. I would rather eat at burger king then here again!!!

The food is great, the cooks do an outstanding job.. Waitresses even better. I go out to eat very often, and more than half the time I go to the Beadle Lake Moonraker.
