Lakeview School District, established in 1921, offers education to more than 3,500 students in grades kindergarten through 12. The district operates community education centers and elementary, middle and high schools throughout Michigan. It offers a curriculum that includes English, social studies, mathematics, science, arts and humanities, physical and technical education and computers. The services offered by the district include educational grants, academic scholarships, career counseling and transportation. It provides various sports activities to students, including baseball, basketball, cross country, cheerleading, football golf, hockey, swimming, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. The district also organizes special child care and after school programs for students and undertakes community-based projects. Lakeview School District is located in Battle Creek, Mich.
