The Department of Public Works Permit and Inspection Division provides a variety of information on various resources for its customers, including building, flood, servitude, residential, commercial, relocation, electrical, heating and air conditioning and plumbing services. The division s building services include building variance requests, contractor certification services, dust free paving, fence permits, homeowner contractor information, Metro Board of Adjustment services and wastewater facilities. Its flood services include flood information and prevention and plain management. Servitude services include building code variance instructions. Residential services include permits, inspections and occupancy permits, while the company s commercial services include landscape plans and fees, commercial permits and completion certificates.
