Louisiana State University Continuing Education offers educational programs in business and management, engineering, computers and information systems, professional certification, environmental and occupational safety and workplace foundation skills. Its Academy of Hospitality Management provides training to students in the hospitality industry, including the areas of tourism, hotels and motels, call centers, restaurants and retail. Its legal studies department offers paralegal studies and legal secretary certificate programs and notary public preparatory course. Its youth program offer courses for prekindergarten through grade 12 students. It offers eight different speed reading and reading skills programs by professional instructors from the Institute of Reading Development that helps in boosting reading skill and comprehension and also stimulates interest in reading.
