Wastewater Treatment is a division of the Department of Public Works, which is administered by the government of the City of Baton Rouge in Louisiana. The Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the city s streets, roads, drainage facilities and sewer collection lines. It also maintains and operates sewer treatment facilities and coordinates environmental activities. Additionally, the department is responsible for building code enforcement, public buildings maintenance, and construction inspection and approval. The Department of Public Works provides design and supervision services for various construction projects. It offers traffic control device maintenance and engineering solutions.
