The Bath Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that employs more than 20 officers. It operates administrative, criminal investigation, K-9, animal control and detective divisions. The department also maintains a patrol division that undertakes traffic control, direction and enforcement, motor vehicle accident investigations and arrest of criminals. In addition, it responds to issues related to civil disturbances, domestic disputes and missing children. The Bath Police Department has a full-time parking enforcement officer and several school crossing guards and support staff officers. It provides various crime prevention tips and sexual offender notification. The department supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) program, which is designed to help students stay drug- and trouble-free. The Bath Police Department is located in Bath, Maine.
