Genesee/Orleans Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse provides health care services to people with substance abuse disorders. It offers a range of treatment services for adults, including individual and group therapies, counseling, psychiatric assessment and medication management. The organization has developed a program to help addicted individuals quit smoking, while being treated for other chemical addictions. Its nicotine dependence treatment team has developed a four-stage program that includes assessment, education, and nicotine recovery and relapse prevention. The organization also offers a supportive living program that provides housing and support for adults in the recovery phase.
