Human Services provides a range of programs and services for children, adults and senior citizens in San Bernardino County, Calif. It is a collaboration of programs and resources of seven departments of San Bernardino County government. The agency includes aging and adult services, preschool services, child support services, transitional assistance, children s network, veterans affairs and children s services departments. Human Services provides foster care services for abused, abandoned and neglected children. It also offers adult protective services and family caregiver support programs. The agency s nutrition services include preparation, transportation, nutrition education and counseling for older persons and homebound individuals. Its transitional assistance department provides financial support programs to individuals in need of financial, nutritional and medical assistance. Human Services maintains one of its locations in Barstow, Calif.
