Dr. Young is an ophthalmologist at the University of Vermont Berlin satellite location: The Eye Center, 58 East View Lane in Berlin.Dr. Young graduated from medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Young’s areas of expertise include cataract surgery, glaucoma management and dry eye management. Special procedures include the removal of skin lesions, suture-less cataract surgery and punctal plug insertion.Dr. Young believes that in order to understand each patient’s needs, he must establish an open patient-doctor relationship. He believes that patients need to feel comfortable expressing their concerns and be confident their questions will be answered. He also believes in educating his patients to provide them with resources to understand and manage their eye health.
