The Bargersville Community Fire Department is a private, Incident Response Service 501 organization governed and managed by an elected board of directors. A 40-member combination fire department, Bargersville Community employs more than 40 career, volunteer and paid stand-by firefighters, protecting over 14,000 people. The department operates more than 10 engines, aerial ladders, paramedic rescues, tankers and grass fire trucks. It offers a wide variety of services, such as code enforcement, public education and fire investigative, emergency medical services, hazardous material operations, confined space rescue, vehicle extrication, cold water and high angle rescue services. The Bargersville Community Fire Department s members participate in the Indiana Firefighter's Certification program and First Responder - Defibrillator program. Located in Bargersville, Ind., the department is a member of the Indiana Volunteer FireFighters Association, Indiana Firefighters Association and National Fire Protection Association.
