Established in beautiful downtown Bar Harbor, Maine in 2019, Salt & Steel is the first restaurant collaboration for owners and fiancees Chef Bobby Will and Kimberly Kraus. Our menu reimagines the freshest seasonal flavors of Maine in a playful and innovative style. The name Salt & Steel was derived from the most basic tools required to prepare food: salt for flavor, and steel for preparation. From this simple idea came the basis for the restaurant’s entire concept: source and gather the most local, seasonal product available, and use it to provide our guests with the beautiful flavors of Maine in an imaginative and creative presentation.
