Malick Islam, MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist practicing at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. He is board-certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine. Dr. Islam specializes in treating patients with a wide spectrum of heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation (AFib), supraventricular tachycardias (SVT), and ventricular tachycardias (VT), and heart block. In addition, he specializes in left atrial appendage occlusion with watchman. He is particularly interested in the management of complex atrial arrhythmias. He strives to learn new techniques and implement the latest technology in his EP practice.
