The Department of Psychiatry offers a range of consulting, inpatient, ambulatory and emergency services for individuals with mental health illnesses and substance abuse disorders. It provides various clinical programs that include liaison solutions. The department offers a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program. It also conducts the Sinai Hospital Addictions Recovery Program, which serves opiate-addicted patients up to the age of 18. The department provides psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and individual and group psychotherapy services. In addition, the Department of Psychiatry is a part of the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, which is a 460-plus-bed medical center that was founded in 1866.
