- Internal MedicineDr. Palmer is a graduate of Wesleyan University and received her medical degree from Yale Medical School. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Maryland and her psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Palmer completed a post-doctoral fellowship in affective disorders at Johns Hopkins during which she was involved in clinical trials studying bipolar depression and mood disorders in women during pregnancy. She continued to see patients in consultation at the Women's Mood Disorder Center as a Johns Hopkins faculty member through 2016. Dr. Palmer is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Past President of the Maryland Psychiatric Society. She is also an associate member of the Society of Biological Psychiatry.
