Provided by YP.comDINERS BEWARE!!! - I travel all over the US and do my very best to support local restaurants wherever I am.
This restaurant was without question, the worst place I've ever eaten in 10 years of traveling. The service was unbelievably bad. The waiter had to be asked for water, disappeared, came back 20 minutes later with our menus, made a comment about bringing our bread basket to the table, disappeared, came back 20 minutes later, bread in hand, 15 minutes later, brought butter. Finally took our order, explaining the sides that came with our meals. I ordered a fried seafood combo and my co-worker ordered the filet (medium). 45 minutes later, we received our food. My friends steak was cooked to death and was cut down the middle (apparently to check the doneness of the meat) and must have been recooked. The meat was discolored and should have been sent back, but my buddy didnt want to make an issue of his meal. My seafood platter was hard to discribe. 2 fish filets (different shapes and colors, obviously cooked at different times), scallops were not cleaned properly, they still had a wierd peice of tissue attached that I've never seen before and couilndt chew through. The crab cake was over cooked and was close to being burned (not quite black, but almost), so I just ate the center, not the crust, they were kind enough to leave the shells, I stopped counting how many after about half a dozen peices of shells. The entire meal was served on a bed of fried clams that would have been better used for bait or cat food. The accompaning side dishes werent available, so fries were substituted, cold, greasy and inedible. My friends sides were repalced by a baked potato. No question, 3 hours of bad service and bad food that I hope none of you will ever experience.
The facility was not just outdate, but was outright dirty, dishes, silverware, drinking glasses, stained table clothes, filthy carpeting, etc. For whatever reason, the waiter was sweating bullets and looked like he hadnt changed clothes for some time. The other patrons were either loud and out of control or complaining about the service and food. From what I saw, I seriously doubt if any of us got what we ordered, so it wasnt just me being pissed about our service. Keep in mind, this was on a Thursday night, maybe 15 people in the place total.
Now for the interesting part, make sure if you do make the mistake of wandering into this place, there's small print at the bottom of the menu that states that there is a 17% gratuity added to every meal. No choice in this, regardless of the quality of service, you will pay 17%. I asked to speak to the manager, to give him my input and to question the tip, again 20 minutes later, I finally talked to the manager. I explained the situation to him, he said he'd worked there for 24 years and that he would speak to the staff. He offered every excuse possible, then reluctantly offered to remove the tip from the bill. I declined his offer, but I made sure he knew the condition of the food and service, best $10.71 I spent in this place. The Maryland health department should go through this place with a fine toothed comb, I shutter at the thought of what they would find behind the kitchen doors. This place gives Baltimore restaurants a bad name for those of us that travel for a living, I will not make the same mistake again and I will tell everyone I know to be sure that they dont either.
SO if you're ever in Baltimore and are looking for a place that is filthy, over priced with terrible food and service, then Mo's is the place to go, if thats not what you;re looking for.....run away, run away as fast and as far as you can!!!

Provided by YP.comMy wife, I & my granddaughter have visited Moes Fisherman’s Wharf for the past 3 years for Thanksgiving & New Years Eve. Up until this last evening 12-31-2011, we thought the food was great & the service was excellent.
Last night was the worst experience I've ever had in an upper scale restaurant for a very long time. The service was satisfactory, but the meal & appetizers were a sad excuse for food.
The crab cakes were more filler than meat I would challenge anyone to find the crab meat in the cream of crab soup. My wife's crab lump au gratin was the nastiest thing I've ever had in my mouth.
We have also been patrons of this establishment’s sister restaurant Moes Fisherman’s Exchange in Towson Maryland for at least 20 years, up until about 3 years ago.
The quality of the food has fallen considerably, and he fact that they won’t serve their food on linen table cloths (paper covered tables) is a huge negative for me. I could see paper, if crabs were being served, but when I’m spending $100.00 plus for a meal, (?)
To say the least, I & my wife will never be returning to either of Moes reataurants.
It’s a sad shame as an owner, to become so greedy to actually sacrifice the quality you once were known for to pad your own bank account.
